COMFORT INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPOSITION A:
THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE;
The issuance of not to exceed $41,300,000 of Comfort Independent School District school building bonds for the purposes of designing, constructing, renovating, improving, upgrading, updating, acquiring, and equipping school facilities, including a new career and technical education (CTE) facility and District-wide renovations, additions, and safety and security improvements, and improvements to the baseball and softball fields and Algelt field, the purchase of the necessary sites for school facilities, and the retrofitting of school buses with emergency, safety, and security equipment, and the levying of a tax sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds.
COMFORT INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPOSITION B:
THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE;
The issuance of not to exceed $6,000,000 of Comfort Independent School District school building bonds for the purposes of designing, constructing, renovating, improving, upgrading, updating, acquiring, and equipping Bobcat Stadium, including upgrading the stadium with artificial turf and lighting, and the levying of a tax sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds.
Texas State law requires the phrase “THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE” to be on every school bond measure ballot, regardless of the overall effect on taxpayers.
